Open House

Open House is Tuesday, September 13th.  They will have hotdog dinners available for purchase from 5:00 - 6:30.  You may come to your child's room from 6:00 - 7:30.  This is a great opportunity to meet your child's teacher if you have not done so already.  There will also be student work displayed throughout the school.

Third Grade Pacing Guide

Many parents have asked what they could be doing at home to help their child practice skills we will be covering.  Attached you will find the JefCoEd 2011-2012 Pacing Guide for math.  The pacing guide dictates what we must teach each quarter.  We do have the freedom as a school to cover the material assigned for each nine weeks in the order that we choose.  We have also attached the guidelines for math fact drills.  We will be doing addition fact drills until further notice.  Then, we will do subtraction fact drills.  When we start the multiplication fact drills, you will know what "fact family" we are on per a mulitiplication log that will be placed in the take home folder.  This will be towards the end of October.
